Flamingo languages

ILSC takes pride in being one of the finest language learning institutes in the world. The school is centrally located in the heart of Vancouver, accessible by seabus, skytrain and buses and within walking distance to theatres, cinemas, galleries, restaurants and coffee shops. Walk a few steps further and find yourself strolling the beaches of English Bay, musing over Emily Carr paintings in the Vancouver Art Gallery or Boutique shopping on Robson Street.

ILSC offers a range of courses guaranteed to interest the adult learner. Programming includes: Communication, Academic, Test Preparation and Language Skills classes, Business and Humanities classes, Performing and Visual Arts classes, Computer Design and Career English. Only at ILSC can you take a course on Business or Global Social issues in the morning and join a Film class in the afternoon. Four weeks later you might combine a Cambridge Preparation Course with Listening Skills and Yoga in the afternoon. 

At ILSC our qualified instructors are dedicated to helping students succeed by creating a student-centred learning environment that embraces creativity, self-expression and lively discussion. We offer students Co-op and Internship programs to expand their learning experience into work experience. Our Homestay department provides students with accommodation in carefully selected Canadian families.

Campuses are equipped with WiFi, computer labs and Internet access for student use. Common areas are designed for students to mingle and meet new friends, have lunch, drink a coffee or just relax.


Students learn best when they are confident, at ease and happy. An integral part of our learning team, are our supportive cultural counsellors who are there to assist you in your native language and help you familiarise yourself with all that Vancouver has to offer. Beyond the classroom you will find that ILSC provides an array of activities and travel opportunities for students to sign up for. You can be sure that our Flamingo Language students can look forward to specialised activities served up right by our Activities Department!
