Go Clubbing

Once Londoners looked to New York to admire how gay clubbing was done, but these days London leads the way. London’s gay scene is bigger and more diverse and it runs later, much later. Here the clubs never never close (at least not on the weekend) and what’s more, they cater to just about everybody. London has clubs for bears, clubs for indie kids, for drag queens (and kings) and even clubs for people who choose not to define. See our “Guide to the Best of Gay London” for tips!

Saturday Night at G-A-Y

London’s most popular gay and lesbian party regularly attracts big names such as Kylie Minogue, Westlife and Gerri Halliwell. G-A-Y offers “attitude free clubbing and a camp and cruisy environment”.

G-A-Y Club is at the London Astoria on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays: 157 Charing Cross Road WC2.

G-A-Y Bar is at 30 Old Compton Street, next door the Prince Edward Theatre.
