Gay friendly accommodation in London, England

Accomodation

At British Study Centres London we offer two different types of gay friendly accommodation, according to your needs. 'Homestays', which is living with a London host family, and 'Student House', which is sharing an independent house with other students from the school. Both options offer safe, secure, friendly accommodation. Our Accommodation Officer is well aware of the special requests Flamingo Language students might have and is always happy to accommodate them accordingly.

Homestay information for students

Living in homestay accommodation can be one of the most rewarding and interesting parts of the student's visit to England. You will have the chance to live in a home environment and experience the culture first hand. All of our hosts have been visited and interviewed in their homes. They have been selected because of the comfort of the home and the warm welcome they will be able to give you, as well as for their kindness towards Flamingo Languages students. If you have asked for 1/2 board accommodation you will be provided with breakfast and dinner.

Our homestays are located on average 35-45 minutes away from the school by public transport, in zones 2, 3 or occasionally 4 & 5. All hosts are within reasonable and safe walking distance from a train or underground station. We always try to place you on a direct underground line to the school as this is the most important factor to consider when travelling in London. The most cost efficient way to travel within London is to buy a weekly or monthly ‘Travelcard.'

Student House information for students

Student Houses are ideal for Flamingo Language students who wish to live in independent accommodation and are an excellent way to make friends with other students from British Study Centres London. Houses are of a high standard and have between 5 and 12 single, private bedrooms (which you can lock by key). Kitchen, bathrooms and toilets are shared by students. There are approximately 3 or 4 students per bathroom and toilet.

Our houses are located in zone 2 in the Willesden Green area of London which is a journey of just 6 stops on a direct underground line (Jubilee line) to the school.
Journey time is approximately 20 minutes. Willesden Green is a lively area and very popular with students and young people. There are many cafes, restaurants, supermarkets and shops, all located within short walking distance of our houses.

Gay-friendly hotels

London offers a great deal of gay-friendly accommodation due to its tolerant, open minded and outgoing population. Whether you would like to enjoy the intimacy of a hotel room or the freedom of an aparthotel, we can, in any case, arrange your stay in London. This option requires a generous budget, though.
