Host family
We recommend living with a host family as it is a great way to experience the British way of life and to practice your English daily in a warm and motivating environment. Our partner school takes special care to select only gay or gay-friendly host families for Flamingo Languages students. You will have your own bedroom and breakfast and dinner provided daily. This is a good option financially and, thanks to the city’s extensive public transport network and the school’s central location, the host families are located an average of 30 minutes travelling time from the school.
Student Residence
The school has its own residence, MARSA, in north Manchester with single and twin rooms. Check with us for availability and prices.
In July and August the school also has access to a large university residence. Prices start from £105.00 per week for a room with en-suite shower in a 4-bedroom apartment.
Hotel
If you would prefer to stay in a hotel, our partner school has rates with a selection of centrally located and gay-friendly establishments in Manchester. Prices are available on request.
