Accommodation

Flamingo Languages schools offer a choice of gay-friendly accommodation options. Students can stay, for example, in a gay or gay-friendly host family. Accommodation in gay-oriented hotels or apartments can also be organised. We recognise that accommodation is a key element of any language course abroad. We therefore make it a priority to help you find the type of accommodation that is most suitable for you, to ensure that your stay is as comfortable and pleasant as possible.

The following is a list of the types of accommodation on offer:

Accommodation with locals

Accommodation with local hosts is very popular and proves to be an ideal opportunity to familiarise yourself with the culture of the country and to actively use the language with your housemates. Learn about cultural particularities and special customs and through this, you will broaden your cultural horizon. Normally, wishes (regarding house pets, special eating habits, diet, non-smokers etc.) will also be taken into consideration. A “host family” however does not need to necessarily mean the traditional family form with mum, dad and child. It can also be a single person and why not also mum and mum or dad and dad. Therefore, you will be welcomed by either gay or otherwise, most definitely open-minded and gay friendly people. Depending on the destination, the accommodation with locals can be booked with or without meals.

Residence

A further possibility is accommodation in a trendy residence. Here, the making of acquaintances with young people from around the whole world, parties, fun and team spirit are at the forefront. There is surely something for everyone. Accommodation is in a single room and you will share the common rooms together with the other students. There is also sufficient room available for cooking, for interesting discussions and for relaxed parties. Sexual orientation is completely secondary here and queers are more than welcome.

We look for the best hotels in the respective destinations for you, where you can enjoy excellent facilities and a relaxed atmosphere, as well as all the necessary luxury.
