Gay friendly accommodation in Berlin, Germany

The range of accommodation on offer to our students has been specially selected by the school, and undergoes regular checks to make sure that we offer you the best. Many of our host families have been happily offering their hospitality to our students for a number of years. Your new home will be close to the school and public transport connections, so getting to and from the school, and out and about in Berlin, will be piece of cake. Private guest rooms with host families are fully-furnished and can be booked with half-board, breakfast only, or self-catering. Of course, we’ve taken your personal needs into account when selecting our guest families. The rooms will be no longer than 30 minutes distance from the school. And the chosen host families are all completely “gay friendly”.

A private room…

All of our guest rooms are in private flats. You will live with friendly people with whom you will share a bathroom and kitchen (including all appliances and equipment). Your hosts can show you around when you arrive. You don't need to worry about bringing bedding or towels with you; your hosts will provide both for you. You may also stay in a communal living situation with two to four people.

We recommend that all our students stay with Berliners as it's the best way to get an authentic picture of the city's social life. An added advantage is that you get to use the German you've learnt in the classroom straight away in conversation with your hosts. Your hosts know the city like the back of their hands, so they'll have lots of good tips on shopping, eating-out, and nightlife.

…or rather a hotel?

If a comfortable life and independent living are more your style, we'll be happy to arrange a room in a hotel near the school for you. But remember: independence has its price! While a guest room will cost you about € 100 per week, you should calculate about € 50 per day for a hotel. But you get a free breakfast with that!

Please be aware that accommodation can only be booked in combination with a place on a language course. We don't arrange accommodation for people not studying at the school.
