Our partner school offers you a choice of gay-friendly accommodation options:
Host family
Living with a host family is a great opportunity to discover the Spanish way of life, and to practice your Spanish daily in a warm and motivating environment. Our partner school takes special care to select only gay or gay-friendly host families for Flamingo Languages students. You will have your own bedroom and breakfast and dinner provided daily. This is a good option financially and, thanks to the city’s extensive public transport network, the families are located an average of 30 minutes from the school.
Student Flat
If you would prefer to be a little more independent, the school can provide rooms in apartments where you will share the bathroom and kitchen with other students. This is also the most economical option and a great way to make new friends
Please note: Barcelona is a densely populated city where rooms are often not as large as students might expect and where the landlord sometimes also occupies the flat.
Apartment
The apartment option gives you the privacy and the space to make the most of your stay.
All apartments have a minimum of one bedroom with double bed.
Each apartment has a well-equipped living room and kitchen, washing/drying machine, iron and ironing board and can be shared by two people. Apartments are no more than 20 minutes away from the school by public transport and usually in a funky neighbourhood with plenty to do.
Hotel
If you would prefer to stay in a hotel, our partner school can recommend gay friendly hotels in the heart of Barcelona - just let us know.
