Our partner school offers you a choice of gay-friendly accommodation options:

Host family

Living with a host family during your language study stay in Barcelona is a great opportunity to discover the Spanish way of life and practice your Spanish daily in a warm and motivating environment. Our partner school takes special care to select only gay or gay-friendly host families for Flamingo Languages students. You will have your own bedroom and choose between breakfast only and half board accommodation. This is a good option financially and, thanks to the city’s extensive public transport network, the families are located an average of 30 minutes from the school.

Shared apartment

If you would prefer to be a little more independent, the school can provide apartments that you will share with other students. This is an economical option and a great way to make new friends and live with them during your language study trip. You will be staying in a single or double room. Bath towels are not provided.

Please note: Barcelona is a densely populated city where rooms are often not as large as students might expect and where the landlord sometimes also occupies the flat. The journey to the school building takes approx. 30 minutes by public transport.

Apartment

The apartment option is ideal for students who wish to enjoy more privacy and space. All apartments have a minimum of one bedroom with double bed and can be shared by two people (travelling together). In each apartment, there is a well-equipped living room and kitchen, washing machine, iron and ironing board. Apartments are located no more than 20 minutes away from the school by public transport, usually in funky neighbourhoods with plenty to do.
