The school is ideally located in the heart of the Polk Gulch neighbourhood, the first gay neighbourhood in San Francisco. It’s surrounded by cafes, restaurants and bars. It’s also a fifteen minute walk from Union Square, the heart of San Francisco shopping. The school is located next to cable car and bus lines.

The school building is unique in its design, with light wells for natural lighting, brightly painted colours and a loft-like atmosphere. The school has a dozen well-equipped classrooms, and it also provides a multimedia centre where students can access computers, Wi-Fi and the Internet free of charge, a student kitchen with a microwave and fridge, and a student lounge to relax between classes and chat with your new friends.

The school’s teachers are fully qualified and experienced in teaching English as a second language. You will find all the staff friendly and approachable, and a staff member designated to Flamingo Languages students will be available to answer any questions you may have on gay life in San Francisco.

Embassy warmly welcomes all Flamingo Languages students to the world’s most exciting gay city. The school provides a welcome pack that includes a guide to gay San Francisco, the San Francisco city map and your weekly copy of the Bay Area Reporter (San Francisco’s leading gay newspaper). Currently, there are number of gay members on the San Francisco staff, including the Academic Director.
